Dr. Elizabeth Vantre

I grew up in Montclair, New Jersey and played soccer for several years before tennis became my passion. I continued to play tennis competitively through college. I graduated from Wake Forest University and received my doctorate in School Psychology from Temple University. My husband, Scott, grew up playing travel soccer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We have four children (Nick, age 12, Steele, age 10, Drew, age 8, and Ella, age 7) who all play travel soccer in Richmond, Virginia. We are a true traveling soccer family. In the last year alone, we have traveled to Florida, North Carolina, Maryland, New Jersey, Missouri, France and Jamaica for soccer.

I have been helping families professionally for over fifteen years. I specialize in parenting strategies and behavioral intervention planning and I am currently employed as a psychologist for The Steward School in Richmond, Virginia. I enjoy providing advice for fellow soccer parents and I understand, both as a professional and a soccer mom, how challenging it can be to help one’s child navigate the soccer world. I promise, by following suggested guidelines, it is possible to navigate the soccer world in a healthy and positive way.

Liz recently published her first book, Ready Set Parent: Dr. Moms' Guide to Parenting. It is a great resource for both new and seasoned parents.
