ATLANTA, GA - Georgia Youth Soccer Association (Georgia Soccer) and the Soccer Parenting Association announce a partnership agreement to improve youth soccer in Georgia by providing parents and clubs with complimentary and discounted access to the SoccerParentResourceCenter.com – a youth soccer parent and coach education platform. Additionally, Georgia Soccer is announced as a Sideline Project Partner (TheSidelineProject.com), and will encourage all parents, coaches, referees, spectators, and caregivers to join The Sideline Project movement at take The Sideline Project Pledge.
The Soccer Parenting Association seeks to improve the experience and development of youth soccer players by improving sideline behavior and engaging, supporting and educating youth soccer parents and coaches.
“A child’s participation in the game is directly correlated to their experience” said Laura Halfpenny, Executive Director at Georgia Soccer. “Our mission at Georgia Soccer is to grow the game, retain players and provide the tools we can so the players experience is positive and lifelong. With this partnership, Member Clubs will have a significantly discounted access to a Parent Education platform that they can use to develop their club culture and support the player. Parents will have access to content that is free to them as they support their child’s participation in the game.”
Providing a positive youth sporting experience where all children feel inspired, develop important life skills, and establish healthy habits they will take with them for life must be a top priority for all youth sport organizations.
