New Book Alert: Play Like A Girl

What a treat to receive this book from the author and photographer, Kate T Parker.  I put it aside for a day upon opening the box as I was in the middle of finishing up a project, however the moment I sat down to look it over - I was hooked. Pulled into a beautiful, picture filled book designed to inspire girls to understand, appreciate and celebrate the power and joy of being a soccer player - I sat down and didn't stop turning the pages until I turned to the final one.

I highly recommend this book for girls everywhere who love to compete!

Kate T. Parker, photographer and New York Times best selling author of Strong is the New Pretty and The Heart of a Boy, has pulled together a unique book that tells the story of girls who find inspiration from the soccer fields including narratives from Michele Akers, Carli Lloyd, Megan Rapinoe, Julie Foudy and many other professional and international players plus young girls growing up in the game, their moms, female coaches and adult players who just can't seem to retire their cleats!  The book is filled with inspirational anecdotes, frame worthy quotes, and pages and pages of pictures that will warm you heart with hope and make you smile deeply.

Organized into 10 RULES such as: Keep Your Head Up, Play to Your Strengths, Make Every Minute Count, the book is a fantastic conversation starter between parents and their daughters.
