The Soccer Parenting Association seeks to improve the experience and development of youth soccer players by improving sideline behavior and engaging, supporting, and educating youth soccer parents and coaches.
“Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA) cares about the future growth of soccer across our state. We understand that a large part of our job is to assist in creating safe soccer environments that allow our players to develop and foster a love for the game. To that end, we know that part of that environment includes giving our parents engagement tools that can help to make their experience with their child the best that it can be. TSSA has partnered with Soccer Parenting Association and The Sideline Project in a multi-year partnership agreement. This partnership will give Parents access to The Sideline Project and Successful Soccer Parenting Courses. Clubs affiliated with TSSA will be able to join the Soccer Parenting Association and provide membership benefits to their coaches and parents for the discounted fee of $250/year,” said TSSA CEO, Hans Hobson. “Our desire over the next year is to reach 80% of our member clubs and 60% of our parent base. We have some lofty goals, but we know that in order to create a soccer culture that we can be proud of we need to provide our membership with tools that will assist them.”
Derrall Stalvey, SVP-Communications & Marketing, Chattanooga Football adds, “Our club has been part of the Soccer Parenting family for two years now. Of all the resources out there, nothing checks the boxes that this one does. To empower parents with this information goes a long way in making the game better for everyone — most importantly the player. I really think it can keep kids in the game longer. I cannot recommend the work of Skye and her team enough. It should be a required part any team’s toolkit.”
Providing a positive youth sporting experience where all children feel inspired, develop important life skills, and establish healthy habits they will take with them for life must be a top priority for all youth sport organizations.
“The investment TSSA is making towards positively affecting the lives of soccer players, families and dedicated coaches in Tennessee is commendable. We are proud to work with Tennessee State Soccer Association and are encouraged by their commitment to improving the youth soccer landscape in the state.” said Skye Eddy, Founder of the Soccer Parenting Association.
